I had the pleasure of seeing Morisot’s works up close when I worked at the Barnes Foundation. Just spectacular! I had never see that Renoir piece featuring her and her daughter, it’s one of the more moving pieces that I’ve seen of his where he depicts women.
I would just love to see one of her paintings up close! And such a good point about the Renoir piece — the way he and Manet painted Morisot really showed a great reverence and respect.

oh yes I will say the photo reproductions don't do her brushwork justice. The Art Institute of Chicago has one of her major works on view.
I recently saw an exhibition on Mary Cassatt and she's another inspiring and underrated impressionist.
Having only had the chance to see her brushwork detail on a screen, I can only imagine! Someday!
A Mary Cassatt exhibition sounds incredible — I love her work around mothers and children
